RYSLA

design by Ondřej Rys, Jan Padrnos

The RYSLA bench was designed for spaces where a tree should be more than just part of the greenery. The circular and curved versions create a natural place to sit and relax around it. The tree remains the center of attention without being at the exact center of the circle, while the bench adds a new social dimension. The distinct circular seat, made of radially arranged wooden slats, highlights the organic character of the entire design. At the same time, it forms an eye-catching element that functions not only as a seating unit, but also as an integral part of the overall public space design.
RYSLA is available in two variants. The semi-circular LRY242 with rounded ends offers a more open configuration, allowing seating to be created around only a portion of the tree. The full-circle LRY480 completely surrounds the tree; thanks to its asymmetry, it provides more space for sitting or lying down where needed most. It is suitable for parks, town squares, pedestrian zones, courtyards, residential areas, and other public locations.
The galvanized steel supporting structure is finished with a powder coating. The seat is made of trapezoidal solid wood slats attached to the frame with stainless steel screws. Each leg features four holes for anchoring to the base.

The radial arrangement of the slats is one of the defining characteristics of the RYSLA bench.
1
A tree at the center
The RYSLA bench makes use of the space around a tree instead of treating it as an obstacle. It creates a natural spot around it where people can pause, sit, and gather.
2
Unconventional shape
RYSLA brings unconventional geometry to public spaces, naturally attracting attention.
3
Two layout options
Both the semi-circular and full-circle variants allow the bench to adapt to the character of a specific location—from smaller nooks to prominent central features of squares, parks, or residential areas.
